BASF Construction Chemicals Launches New Rheofibre Range

BASF Construction Chemicals has introduced a new fibre range – Rheofibre – to enhance the properties of concrete, new products include:

• Rheofibre XT – a high performance monofilament polypropylene that reduces plastic shrinkage and plastic settlement cracking while enhancing the surface properties and durability of hardened cementitious products.

• Rheofibre S100 – a monofilament macro synthetic fibre that is extruded, crimped and then specifically cut into 50mm lengths.

• Rheofibre S200 – a 50mm macro synthetic fibre designed to replace traditional steel reinforcement in concrete for a wide range of construction applications, enhancing the toughness of the concrete and alleviating the need for steel mesh. Benefits include increased performance, reduced costs and health and safety advantages.
